Hurricane Marco, a Category 1 storm, is expected to make landfall on the Louisiana Gulf Coast within the next 24 hours, with Tropical Storm Laura, which has the potential to grow to a hurricane, expected Wednesday.

Mississippians have already begun preparing for Marco and Laura this weekend. Hurricane conditions, life-threatening storm surges, and heavy rainfall are expected across the Mississippi coast. For those that need it, here is the state of Mississippi’s evacuation guide and survival checklist.
